Staff Therapist
Louis Walthall, LCSW-R
Louis Walthall is a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience treating patients with substance abuse and anger issues. Louis was a pioneer and administrator of Suffolk County's dual disorder program; and worked as a senior psychiatric social worker in Suffolk County's criminal justice, Drug Court system. His experience includes working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, providing a safe therapeutic space for clients.
Louis utilizes motivational interviewing, with existing strengths, and builds on them using CBT and other therapeutic methods. Louis also has many years of experience working with children, teens and adults suffering from ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder.

Nicolette Makedon, LMHC
Nicolette received her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Queens College University. She has clinical training working as a therapist providing individual, family, and group counseling at a college campus, outpatient clinics, and recently at a foster care agency. Nicolette has experience counseling diverse groups of children, adolescents, and adults and utilizes an eclectic approach with an emphasis on CBT, client-centered, REBT, and psychodynamic techniques. She has experience working with clinical issues such as anxiety, life transitions, substance use, sexual abuse, trauma, emotional distress, depression, anger, personal development, and relationship issues. Nicolette has been successful in developing a therapeutic and safe environment for clients while providing a non-judgmental and warm atmosphere for them.

Mindy Lee, LCSW-R
Mindy completed her Master of Social Work at Adelphi University and has over 25 years of program and clinical experience providing therapy and therapeutic services to adolescents, adults and families in community based and residential programs, outpatient mental health and private practice.
Mindy has provided supervision to licensed social workers and expressive arts therapist and interns. Mindy specializes in sexual abuse, trauma and complex trauma, family life stages, loss and grief, delinquency. She utilizes an integrated therapeutic approach – trauma informed, strength based, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness to provide treatment to her patients.

Michael Anderson, LMHC
Michael is a licensed mental health counselor and received his master’s degree in mental health counseling from Baruch College. Michael participated in research and specialized training with the newly formed Human Neuromodulation Research Group at the Nathan S. Klein Institute for Psychiatric Research. Recently he has worked with substance use patients at the Mental Health Association in Rockland.
Michael's main focus is being able to create a safe and trusting environment that allows for the therapeutic alliance with his patients to grow in order to work through presenting issues. Michael's theoretical orientation is based on psychodynamic thinking for case conceptualization. He utilizes an eclectic range of modalities including CBT, DBT, REBT, ACT, humanism, and motivational interviewing based on the client’s needs.

Jasmin Amarillas, LCSW
Jasmin received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Jasmin has worked with children as young as 4 to senior citizens. She specializes in bereavement, depression, and anxiety. Jasmin has worked in community based settings, as well as schools, and private practice. She has dedicated her post graduate career to providing mental health services to individuals, families, and couples in diverse communities. Much of her training included providing evidence based treatments to children, adolescence, and adults through telehealth therapy.
She is passionate about assisting individuals and their families develop coping skills, navigate current stressors, heal, and thrive. She utilizes DBT, CBT, and a variety of other modalities to treat her patients.

Tamaki Sasa, LMHC
Tamaki received her Bachelor and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University. She gained clinical experience working as a behavior Intervention Specialist with individuals presenting with developmental and intellectual disabilities. More recently Tamaki worked with individuals navigating conflicts with depression and anxiety.
Tamaki firmly believes in healing through interpersonal connection, which is the foundation for her role as a therapist. She provides a space for clients to make impactful changes for themselves. Tamaki's orientation is based in the Humanistic Theory, with an emphasis on the principles of the Person-Centered Approach, along with Cognitive Behavioral strategies. She has experience working with clients dealing with concerns relating to Depression, Anxiety, trauma, family and relationship issues, LBGTQ+ issues.

John Rubin, LCSW
John received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University and has worked with diverse populations in a variety of settings including community mental health and private practice. He has experience treating adolescents and adults and specializes in depression, anxiety and ADHD. His warm, personable disposition and sense of humor creates a supportive
and safe environment for treatment focused on helping people gain insight and make improvements in their lives.
John’s style is rooted in respect and the belief that each individual’s circumstances is unique and should be collaboratively explored. John utilizes an eclectic approach when working with his clients that draws from psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness techniques.

Laura Cosgrove, LCAT
Laura received her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from New York University after which she completed a four-year training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the New York School.
Laura has spent over thirty years working in private practice and hospital-based settings. Her approach to treatment covers a range of classical and contemporary modalities as well as creative and holistic approaches. Laura's focus is on building a trusting and therapeutic relationship where the environment fosters a safe space for patients to express their feelings and thoughts in words, gestures, and sometimes, in the art making process. Laura uses psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as art therapy in treating her patients.

Margarita Gleyser, LCSW
​Margarita Gershik-Gleyzer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Master’s of Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She also holds a
Master of Psychology from the Ferkauf School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. Margarita completed one year of continuing education study in Psychoanalytic
Psychotherapy with Adults through the New Hope Guild Training Program. Margarita has been practicing as a psychotherapist and social worker for over 20 years, working as a medical social worker in several home care agencies and hospitals; a nursing home and a dialysis center.
Margarita specializes in working with clients who suffer from a chronic medical illness such as cancer, end stage renal disease and/or chronic mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder. Margarita uses supportive psychotherapy, CBT and DBT to help treat anxiety, depression and fear as a result of an acute/chronic medical or mental health condition, traumatic event, or a relationship/financial stressor. Margarita has worked with families, children and
couples using psychodynamic and rational emotive therapies to improve insight, resolve conflict and reconnect. She has helped children and adults suffering with low self-esteem and lack of confidence manage their social anxiety. Margarita believes that a supportive, safe and non-judgmental relationship with a therapist is
central to the healing process.

Lakeia Grant, LMSW
Lakeia graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Welfare. She is a faculty member at Adelphi University teaching classes at the graduate program for Social Work. Lakeia has over 10 years of experience includes working at ABA programs and outpatient treatment centers seeing children, adolescence and adults utilizing a wide rage of modalities.
Lakeia's areas of expertise include treating anxiety, ODD, ADHD, OCD, depression, trauma related disorders and prevention services. She utilizes therapy interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Strength Focused Therapy and Exposure Therapy to help clients reach their goals. Her goals are to help her clients treat and manage their mental health in a healthy and positive manner.

Jessica Brusgul, LMHC
Jessica completed both her undergrad and graduate degree at SUNY Oswego, where she completed her Masters in Mental Health Counseling in May 2016.
Her primary focus, due to the significant need of society, has appeared to be various levels of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and learning to cope with various stressors.
Jessica has found that establishing a positive rapport, while deciphering the goals for therapy are a priority.
She feels utilizing CBT, encouragement, psychoeducation, a strength based approach among others as needed is often found to be very beneficial.

Caitlyn Christiana, LMSW
Caitlyn graduated with a Masters’ degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings over the course of six years treating adolescents, adults, and veterans. For the past two years she has focused on supporting clients
in recovery.
Caitlyn utilizes the following treatment modalities; CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to assist clients managing anxiety and depression, as well as a wide range of other mental health disorders.
Caitlyn has experience assisting clients with developing effective communication skills, managing negative thinking patterns, creating obtainable goals, and
incorporating self-care routines. Her outgoing and approachable personality, along with her sense of humor, allows for an effortless transition into developing a trusting professional
relationship.
